Kabul At Work

Filmed over the course of several months in Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010, this film formed part of a larger multimedia project documenting the Afghan capital Kabul through its inhabitants – a portrait of a city through the workplace.
This was my first broadcast documentary and the idea was to show a different side of Afghanistan to the one presented by the news media; to give a voice to the ordinary heroes getting on with their lives in spite of the three (now four) decades of war.
