Boko Haram are ranked as one of the world’s deadliest terror groups. They have shocked the world with mass kidnappings of schoolgirls and deployed hundreds of women and girls as suicide bombers.
On the tenth anniversary of the conflict in North East Nigeria, this documentary investigates Boko Haram’s use of female suicide bombers.
The film also investigates alleged war crimes, including arbitrary detention and extrajudicial killing, perpetrated by the Nigerian army during this conflict.
“Nigeria’s Female Suicide Bombers finds Dooley back to her best: building a rapport with those caught up in conflict, but equally good at interviewing evil-doers.”
- Critic’s Choice in The Sunday Times
“The powerful testimony of the women who have escaped the jihadists make the film a necessary watch.”
- The Guardian
“A jaw-dropping documentary”
- Closer Magazine
